what is this log?

I strongly believe that eating nourishing and delicious food without overeating and being moderately active is the key to feeling happy and staying lean all year round. Many of my clients requested that I share what I do on a daily basis to maintain a carefree healthy lifestyle, so here it is and I hope it helps you with ideas.

Aug 29, 2011

Skipped a few days, since we were attending a seminar. My eating schedule was definitely different. Observation one - breakfast was very early, due to not sleeping enough. I was reminded to honor that signal. Like we have talked before, eat when hungry, not because it's breakfast time. It was also unusual to eat all three meals outside the house and I was eager to come home to rich salads, fresh vegetables and food that doesn't make me drink a gallon of water after. Whatever restaurants use is a source of sodium that I don't know at home - we use sea salt and Himalayan salt. It scares me to think what they use. Activity was mostly walking, some hands on work during the seminar, trying new ways to move, and stand up paddle boarding. Back to a regular training schedule last night.

what I ate

breakfast
scrambled eggs, feta, cherry tomatoes

lunch
ricotta infornata (baked ricotta with tomatoes and parmesan), pear and baby carrots

dinner
meatloaf, slow roasted tomatoes and peppers, pear, blueberries, almonds

what I did
1 hour strength training
stretching and foam rolling

  1. I saw some images of ricotta infornata in google. It looks like something I would eat in enormous amounts :))
How do you feel after eating high-sodium food for several days? By the way, do you think that dry brushing can help in cases of water retention in the body?

  2. I will publish a recipe in a couple of days. You would LOVE it.

I believe dry brushing can help a lot with retention.

High crap sodium food makes me feel heavy and bloated. Blah.
